Definitions of environmentally sustainable farming vary, and I want to lay out a version of what constitutes sustainable agriculture for this documentary project. VASADP only covers local farms, restaurants and communities, and thus can show sustainability at the local level much more readily than at a global level.
VASADP focuses on sustainable practices that meet the following criteria: 1) minimize or remove human’s negative impact on the environment, 2) provide economic stability to farms, farmers, restaurants and other businesses that depend on food and 3) provide healthy produce to surrounding communities.
