Victory CSA Pick-Up 08.04.09
Categories: Uncategorized

Victory Farm is one of the many farms around Richmond that operates a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), where you purchase a farm share in advance and then receive a share of produce every week. Victory expanded their CSA this year and Bill and Kim are some of their new subscribers. They usually pick up their food on Tuesdays at the Bryan Park Market.

Every week they pick out the vegetables they would like, and then Victory notes the portion of their share that they used.

As seen above, Bill and Kim do take home quite a lot of produce (and a few flowers) on a weekly basis. This allows them to eat local food almost exclusively–except for condiments and spices.

The Victory Farm CSA costs $500 and provides $600 worth of produce over the course of the growing season (usually about 30 weeks).
You can visit the Victory Farm CSA Q and A section to learn more about the CSA.
