Every year, Victory Farm invites its CSA members out to the farm for a picnic. This lets everyone meet each other, their cooking, and the source of the ingredients they cook with.
The picnic occured at the end of May, and to time that with the crops, that is when there are unripe tomatoes out in the field.

At the picnic every member brought a dish, complete with the recipe in case anyone else wanted to replicate it:

Most picnic goers also wandered out into the fields to see the produce (and how many plants they could identify).

Charlie also took some of the children out into a row of potatoes so that they could harvest some.
